Licensed AssistantFor more than a decade, Paul has been delivering sound investment advice, customized to each of his client’s financial objectives and needs. He believes in conservative investing and speculation only under special circumstances. He also encourages maximization of RRSP’s beginning early in adulthood.
Following 35 years with the Canadian Forces, Paul successfully completed the Canadian Investment Funds Course, and in 2001, began his third career as a Financial Advisor. He continues to upgrade his skills; by obtaining his Insurance License, by becoming a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging and recently, completing the University of Victoria’s Certified Financial Planners’ Program.
In 1993, the Governor General of Canada presented Paul with the Order of Military Merit. In 1992, he was awarded the Canada 125 Medal. The Medal was presented partially for his service to his country, but also for the Volunteerism that has and continues to play a major part in his life. In 1988 in Nova Scotia, he was named Volunteer of the Year and in the same year in British Columbia; he was named Official of the Year.
Over the years, Paul’s practice has grown through referrals from satisfied clients. When asked what lessons he brought to Financial Planning from his previous employment, Paul responded, “What I left the Air force with is discipline and a personal commitment to ‘service before self’”. Paul prides himself on excellent interaction with his clients and warmly welcomes existing and prospective clients to his office.
